The story
Tan Dinh Market has served its neighborhood for a century. Tailoring fabric is the specialty upstairs, while the ground-floor wet market and food stalls do a brisk local trade in banh canh, sweets, and grilled things. Come hungry and curious.
This is everyday-Saigon shopping: floors of silk and fabric, morning food stalls locals queue at, and almost no tourist markup. The bubblegum-pink church across the street is a bonus photo stop.
