The story
A craft village about 10 km southeast of central Hue where paper flowers have been made since the 16th century, according to the Đại Nam nhất thống chí chronicle. Artisans cut paper with iron chisels on wooden molds, shape the petals with string, add the stamens and mount each flower on a bamboo stem, all by hand. The lotus is the signature flower. Visitors can watch the process and make a flower themselves.

Mia recommends lunar December to March, when the village is bustling with artisans at work and the weather is dry and cool.
Mia names lunar December–March as the best time to visit; the official portal says production ramps up from around the 9th–10th lunar month ahead of spring festivals.
Getting there
About 10 km from central Hue, roughly 20–30 minutes by motorbike or car. The village is in the former Phu Mau commune (now Duong No ward).
