The story
Thanh Ha is a pottery village on the Thu Bon River, about 2–3 km west of Hoi An Ancient Town. Sources date it back more than 500 years to settlers from Thanh Hoa. More than 37 households and 68 artisans still work here. You can watch artisans at the wheel and try shaping a piece yourself under their guidance. Its craft has been National Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2019.

When to go
Around 3pm is recommended to avoid the midday heat. Avoid October–November because of flooding.
October–November floods make it a poor time to visit. An ancestral worship festival is held on the 10th day of the 7th lunar month.
Getting there
Take a bicycle or motorbike from Hoi An: follow Hung Vuong to Duy Tan, continue about 500 m to an intersection, then turn left.
