The story
Also called Reunification Palace, this modernist landmark by architect Ngo Viet Thu served as South Vietnam's presidential residence and command center. The basement telecom and map rooms, period furniture, and lawn-facing balconies are all preserved as they were left.
Walking its untouched war rooms, retro reception halls, and rooftop helipad is like stepping into 1975 — the tank crashing these gates is one of the century's defining images.
