The story
A Nha Trang grilled-beef restaurant open for more than 40 years on Nguyen Binh Khiem. The signature is thin-sliced beef marinated with honey and more than ten spices, which you grill yourself over a red-charcoal brazier at the table, or order already grilled. It comes with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and sliced onion, a salt-chili-lime dip and bread you can toast over the coals. It's usually crowded. The wider menu includes lươn đùm (wrapped eel), shrimp paste grilled on sugarcane, grilled squid and salt-chili fried rice.
Lac Canh has served grilled beef for more than 40 years. Diners grill the beef themselves at the table, best in the afternoon or evening.
