The story
Modeled on the Petit Palais style, the Municipal Theatre seats around 500 under a grand chandeliered dome. Performances range from ballet and symphony to the long-running bamboo-circus productions created for visitors. The exterior steps are a favorite evening photo spot.
The flamboyant beaux-arts facade is a landmark in itself, but the real move is booking the AO Show — Vietnamese cirque with bamboo acrobatics — to see the gilded interior in action.
