The story
A long-established mi Quang shop at 1A Hai Phong street near the city center, popular with locals and tourists. Bowls come with shrimp crackers (banh phong tom) instead of the usual rice cracker, a broth of pork bones, chicken, shrimp and turmeric, and plenty of herbs. You can choose chicken, shrimp, pork or a 'special' bowl, and the menu also has cao lau and sugarcane juice.
