The story
Han Market is a two-story market at 119 Tran Phu, dating from the 1940s and about 100 m from Da Nang Cathedral. The ground floor is packed with specialties for taking home: mam nem and mam ruoc (fermented fish and shrimp pastes), fish sauce, dried squid and shrimp, beef jerky and coffee. Upstairs sells fabrics, clothes and ao dai, and snack stalls serve banh canh, mi Quang and nem lui.
Han Market is useful for local food specialties, fermented fish sauces (mam) and dried goods. It is busy during the day.

Officially 06:00–22:00, but most vendors close around 19:00. Early morning (06:30–09:00) is the least crowded and has the easiest choice; weekends are busiest.
