The story
On O Quy Ho pass, at nearly 2,000 m on Highway 4D between Lao Cai and Lai Chau, roadside stalls grill eggs, corn and sweet potatoes, alongside smoked buffalo meat, meat skewers and sticky rice. People stop here to warm up in the cold wind while watching clouds and sunset over the mountains.
