The story
A Hmong women's linen cooperative in Hop Tien hamlet, Lung Tam commune, beside the Mien River, set up in 2001 by Vang Thi Mai with 10 members. It now has well over 100 members. Hemp linen here goes through 41 hand steps, including spinning, boiling in wood-ash water, beating soft with stones, beeswax batik and indigo dyeing. Visitors can watch the process, try steps such as spinning thread or beeswax patterning, and buy scarves, bags, wallets and clothing.

Getting there
About 46–50 km from Ha Giang city. Take National Highway 4C toward Quan Ba. The village sits between Quan Ba and Yen Minh on the Ha Giang Loop, so it's an easy stop by motorbike or car.
