The story
Con Son is a river islet of about 70 hectares in the Hau River, in Binh Thuy ward, where local households run community tourism together. A 2026 report counted 43 member households in the cooperative. Visitors cross by small ferry to walk orchards, visit fish rafts, watch the well-known 'flying' snakehead fish, which are trained to leap for food at the sound of a bell, and make folk cakes such as banh xeo, banh in and banh lot. Meals are home-cooked, with each household contributing dishes to a shared spread.
Con Son offers community-led food, orchard visits and activities around making cakes and fish. Experiences are run by individual households.

Choose a half-day (4–5 hours) or full-day program and check what is included; full days add things like monkey bridges and canal fishing.

You can pick fruit straight from the home orchards and try crossing a monkey bridge.

Getting there
Take a taxi or motorbike about 6–8 km from central Can Tho to Co Bac ferry wharf (Alley 13, Le Hong Phong, Binh Thuy) or Ben Do 147 (147 Le Hong Phong). The crossing takes about 10–15 minutes and cost 10,000–20,000₫ in 2025; life jackets are required. Vehicle parking is available at the wharves.
