Buddy について
Is VietnamGo responsible for my tour?
VietnamGo only connects you with your Buddy. Buddies are independent freelancers, not VietnamGo staff, and the tour is an arrangement between the two of you, paid directly between you. Read the Buddy's profile, their tours and their reviews carefully before you book. We review profiles before listing them, act on every report within 24 hours, and remove Buddies who break the rules.
What is a Buddy?
A Buddy is a local who shows you their city the way they'd show a friend. Buddies are independent people, not VietnamGo staff and not licensed tour guides. VietnamGo reviews each profile before listing it and introduces you; the tour itself is an arrangement between you and your Buddy.
予約
How do I book a Buddy?
Two ways. Book a package: pick a standard tour, a time, your group size and language, and every Buddy who fits sees it — the first to accept is yours. Or pick a Buddy: open their profile and book one of the packages they lead. Either way the price is the package price, shown before you send anything.
How many people can come?
Up to the group size shown on the package and on the Buddy's profile — whichever is smaller. Everyone on the tour counts, children included. If more people turn up than booked, your Buddy can decline to take the extra people.
When can we contact each other?
Phone numbers and the booking chat open when the Buddy accepts and close when the tour ends. Before that, nobody sees your contact. Keep arrangements in the booking chat: if something goes wrong, our team can only go by the booking and the chat.
Will my Buddy speak my language?
Each Buddy lists the languages they speak and describes their own level (native, fluent, conversational, basic) — it isn't a test result. When you book a package you can ask for a language; only Buddies who list it will see the request.
I have a diet, allergy or mobility need. How do I tell my Buddy?
Write it in the note when you book — every Buddy who can see the request reads it before accepting. Your Buddy can help you ask at each stall, but can't guarantee what's in a dish; for a serious allergy, check with the cook yourself too.
Where do we meet?
At the meeting point in the booking — a hotel lobby, a café or a well-known corner works well. Choose somewhere public. Your Buddy doesn't pick you up from a private room.
料金と支払い
What does the package price cover?
The package price pays for your Buddy's time for the whole group, up to the group size shown — it is not per person. It is set by VietnamGo and is the same with every Buddy, so there's nothing to haggle. Each package lists what is not included: food and drinks are never included, and tickets or transport are marked as either included or paid by you.
Is food included? Who pays for what we eat?
Food and drinks are never in a package price. You pay for what you order, directly to the stall or restaurant. Ask your Buddy to check prices before you order if you're unsure. You don't have to pay for your Buddy's food or drinks — many travelers offer, and that's entirely your choice. A Buddy must not ask you to.
Who pays for tickets and rides during the tour?
Each package says so. If tickets are marked 'you pay', you pay entrance fees at the gate for your group. If transport is marked 'you pay', you pay for rides taken during the tour for the group, your Buddy included; your Buddy gets to the meeting point at their own cost. When transport is included (for example the scooter food tour), the ride is in the price.
How and when do I pay my Buddy?
You pay your Buddy directly, in cash or by bank transfer to their own account, at the end of the tour unless you both agree otherwise in the chat. VietnamGo never takes payment for a tour and never asks you to transfer money in advance. If anyone asks for a deposit to hold a tour, don't pay — report it from the booking.
Can my Buddy charge more, or give me a discount?
No. The price is the package price shown when you booked — the same on the day, with no surcharges, no 'extra stops' to pay for, and no off-app discounts. If you're asked to pay more than the booking says, you don't have to; report it from the booking.
Should I tip?
Tips are never expected or required. If you'd like to thank your Buddy, a tip is welcome, but a Buddy must not ask for one.
変更・キャンセル・遅刻
Can we change the day or time?
A booking can't be edited. Agree the new time in the chat, then make a new booking and cancel the old one. A change agreed only in the chat isn't recorded, so if anything goes wrong we can only go by what the booking says.
How do I cancel, and does it cost anything?
Cancel from the booking at any time. No money changes hands before the tour, so there's nothing to refund and no fee. Up to 24 hours before the start it's a normal cancellation. Inside 24 hours it's recorded as a late cancellation: our staff can see it, and repeated late cancellations can limit your bookings. A request nobody has accepted yet can be cancelled freely.
What if my Buddy cancels?
You're notified straight away and can book again — a package request reaches every free Buddy. A Buddy's cancellation inside 24 hours is recorded against them, and repeated late cancellations lead to suspension.
What happens if it rains?
Tours usually go ahead in ordinary rain — agree in the chat if you'd like to change the plan. If weather makes the tour unsafe (a storm, flooding, an official warning), either side can cancel; write the reason when you cancel. Staff read the reason before acting on any late cancellation.
I'm running late — what happens?
Tell your Buddy in the chat as early as you can. Your Buddy waits at least 30 minutes after the start time. A tour runs for the booked length from the booked start time, so arriving late doesn't extend it unless your Buddy agrees. After 30 minutes without word, your Buddy can mark a no-show.
Can the tour run longer than booked?
Only if you both clearly agree first, in the chat, including any extra amount. Your Buddy may say no. Nobody pays for extra time they didn't agree to in advance.
トラブルのとき
My Buddy didn't show up. What now?
Message them in the booking chat first. If they haven't arrived 30 minutes after the start, mark the booking as a no-show and use Report a problem. You owe nothing. Our team follows up within 24 hours, and no-shows count heavily against a Buddy.
Something went wrong on the tour. How do I report it?
Open the booking and choose Report a problem — no-show, the price changed, something felt unsafe, the tour wasn't as described, or pressure to visit a shop. You can report up to 30 days after the tour. A moderator reads both sides and the whole chat and answers within 24 hours. Because VietnamGo never holds tour money, we can't refund it, but we act on the Buddy's account: warnings, suspension or removal.
Will my Buddy take me to shops?
Only if you ask. Buddies must not take commissions from shops, restaurants or drivers for bringing you there, and must not pressure you to buy anything. If that happens, report it from the booking — it's a reason to remove a Buddy.
安全と信頼
What is the booking chat for, and what should I watch out for?
The chat opens only when a Buddy accepts and closes when the tour ends. Use it for the booked tour only: meeting details, plans and changes — that's what our team reads if there's a problem. Never pay a deposit or send money before you meet; VietnamGo never asks for one. Buddies don't offer other services here (rooms, rides to other cities, currency exchange, visas, massage, goods): say no and report it. Never share passport photos, card numbers, bank logins or one-time codes.
How do I stay safe with a Buddy?
Meet in a public place, tell someone where you're going, and stop the tour if you feel unsafe. Buddies must not drink while guiding, and must not drive you on a motorbike unless you asked and you both have helmets. In an emergency call 113 (police), 114 (fire) or 115 (ambulance) first, then report it in the app.
Is my Buddy's identity verified?
Every listed Buddy's profile has been reviewed by our staff — that checks the profile, not the person's ID. Buddies who also show the 'ID verified' badge have had a government ID checked and a video call with our staff. Profile approval is not a professional certification.
レビュー
How do reviews work?
Only the two people on a completed tour can review each other, within 14 days. Neither review is shown until both are written or the 14 days pass, so nobody reviews in retaliation. Reviews that break the rules are removed; a Buddy can reply publicly to theirs.
VietnamGo Pass
What is VietnamGo Pass?
An optional 99,000₫ Pass. It lifts the free limit of 3 AI requests a day (fair use up to 100 a day) and unlocks offers that partner places keep for Pass members. Places, guides, phrases, the Toolkit and booking a Buddy never need a Pass.
Does the Pass renew automatically? How do I cancel?
The 30-day Pass is one payment and never renews; buying another adds 30 days. The monthly subscription renews each month through the App Store or Google Play until you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel in your store account's subscription settings; you keep access until the period ends.
Can I get a refund for the Pass?
Purchases in the app are refunded by Apple or Google under their policies — request it from your store account. For a Pass bought by bank transfer on the website, contact support; a transfer of the wrong amount is refunded or credited by our team.
I bought the Pass but don't see it.
The Pass belongs to your VietnamGo account. Sign in with the same account, open Account → VietnamGo Pass and tap Restore purchases. A bank-transfer Pass appears within minutes of the transfer arriving with the right reference code; if it doesn't, contact support with the transfer details.
提携店の特典
How do partner offers work?
Tap Use offer on the place page to get a code valid for 10 minutes and show it to staff before you pay. Some offers are for Pass members only. Offers are given and honoured by the partner place, not by VietnamGo; each one lists its own conditions and limits.
A place didn't honour an offer. What can I do?
Show the code and its conditions to the staff again. If they still refuse, tell us through Account → Help & Support with the place and the time. We follow up with the partner, and partners that don't honour their offers lose them.
AI ツール
Can I trust the AI answers?
Ask, Scan menu, Translate, Check price and Plan my day use AI over the VietnamGo catalog and never invent a place. They can still be wrong, and hours and prices change — check anything important with the place itself. Without the Pass you get 3 successful AI requests a day; a request that fails doesn't count.
What does Check price tell me?
It compares a price with the typical range we know for that item and area, and says whether it appears higher or lower. It's an estimate, never an accusation — prices differ by place and season.
スポット
What do the badges on a place mean?
'Easy start' places are well known and easy to order at; 'Local adventure' means deep alleys or bold dishes, easier with a Buddy. 'English menu' and 'Cash only' come from travelers, owners and editors — when nobody has checked, we show nothing rather than guess. You can answer those questions on the place page.
アカウントとサポート
How do I delete my account?
Account → Delete account removes your profile, trip, saved places, plans and uploads. Records kept for safety or legal reasons, such as past booking reports, stay as long as the law requires.
How do I reach a person?
Use Account → Help & support, or Report a problem inside a booking. We answer reports within 24 hours. In an emergency, call 113, 114 or 115 first.
Buddy
Buddy になる
How do I become a Buddy?
Apply on vietnamgo.net/buddy/apply with a clear photo, an introduction, your city and meeting area, languages and interests, your largest group and a private contact number, and accept the Buddy rules. Staff review your profile before travelers can see it. Approval reviews the profile; it isn't an ID check or a professional certification.
予約とお仕事
Can I set my own prices?
No. Every tour is a VietnamGo package with one price for every Buddy. You choose which packages you lead and can add your own route and words. Charge exactly the package price: no surcharges, no discounts, nothing extra on the day.
Who pays for my food and drinks on a tour?
You do, unless the traveler offers. Food and drinks are never in a package price: travelers pay for what they order. Never ask a traveler to pay for yours; if they offer, it's fine to accept.
How do I get bookings?
Two ways. Travelers who pick you send a request — answer within 12 hours. Travelers who book a package appear on your job board in the Buddies tab if the time, city, group size and language fit you; the first Buddy to accept gets it, at the package price, and you see what you earn and the VietnamGo fee before you accept. Keep availability on to receive jobs.
Why did my profile stop getting requests?
If your reply rate drops below 60% over five or more requests, you come off the list until you start answering again. Your profile stays. Answer every request, even with a no. Also check that availability is on and your fee is paid.
What if I have to cancel?
Cancel as early as you can from the booking and give the reason. Up to 24 hours before the start it's a normal cancellation. Inside 24 hours it's recorded as a late cancellation; staff read the reason, and repeated late cancellations lead to suspension.
The traveler hasn't arrived. How long do I wait?
Wait at least 30 minutes after the start and message them in the chat. After 30 minutes you can mark a no-show in the booking. A no-show owes no commission, and repeated no-shows affect the traveler's account. If they arrive late, the tour still ends at the booked end time unless you agree otherwise.
How do I close a tour?
Start the tour in the booking when you meet, and mark it completed at the end. A tour nobody closes is completed automatically 24 hours after its scheduled end, unless a problem has been reported. The chat and phone numbers close when the tour ends.
How do I take a break?
Turn off availability with one switch, set your working hours and weekly days off, or block specific dates in When you work. Travelers only see times you're free.
手数料とクレジット
How does the VietnamGo fee work?
When a tour is completed, VietnamGo's commission of 15% of the tour price goes on your fee account. Pay by bank transfer to the account in the app, keeping the reference code exactly (VNG + 8 characters) — it's recognised automatically within minutes. You can't accept a new tour while a fee is unpaid. Cancelled and no-show tours owe nothing.
I transferred the fee without the code. What now?
Tell us in the app's fee screen with the amount and time of the transfer. A claim can't be more than what you owe; it unblocks you for 24 hours while staff match it by hand.
How do invite codes work?
Invite another local with your code and you both get fee credit once they've completed their first tours; invite a traveler and you get credit after their first tour with another Buddy. Credit never exceeds the commission those tours earned, and credit from fake accounts or self-invites is removed.
ルール
What are the rules I must follow?
Be who your profile says. Turn up on time where you agreed. Charge exactly the package price. Take no commissions from shops, restaurants or drivers, and never pressure anyone to buy. Meet in public, don't drink while guiding, and don't drive a traveler on your motorbike unless they asked and you both wear helmets. No romantic advances, and no contacting a traveler after the tour unless they asked.
事業者
事業者パートナー
How do business partners and offers work?
Owners claim their place and VietnamGo staff verify them before they can propose updates or publish offers. Offers can be for everyone or for Pass members only; travelers show a 10-minute code and the cashier confirms it in the partner portal. Paying for a partnership never changes a place's ranking or editorial labels.
